And, yes, we will review potty training and help guide you with quick tips and age relevant physical and mental components to master the puppy bathroom routines.

There will be a  a new focus on introducing leash skills and working on come when called as your pups are now fully vaccinated and ready to see more of the great DC neighborhoods on your adventures as well as having a solid introduction to foundation skills from puppy 1.0 Manners.

Play Dates: puppy 2-6 months of age

Vaccine Requirements: First round of DHLPP or DHPP vaccine (Distemper and Parvo) required prior to first play/class.

 Register HERE.

Length: one hour.

Class Description:    The MOST important part of living with puppy is puppy socialization!  << Watch me!!

Young puppies have a critical window that can close before 18 weeks of age. During this critical socialization period your pup must be exposed to anything your would like them to cope well with as an adult. Under socialized puppies will have behavioral problems.

During supervised puppy play we will create purposeful, positive associations with new sights, sounds and smells.  We will encourage healthy play with other dogs and people, and allow each pup space when they need it.  We will teach you when and how to interrupt play and every new puppy parent will learn about canine body language to ensure two way communication as you step into puppy class.

Health: Please keep your puppy home if he or she is sniffling, sneezing, coughing, has a runny nose, diarrhea, or shows any other signs of illness.

Play Dates: adolescent 6-10 months of age

Pre requisite:
All attendees must have gone through a Puppy 1.0 Manners or Puppy 2.0 Manners class.

Reactive 1.0 Dog - The Starter Kit-

Dogs that bark, lunge or tuck tail in fear from strangers or other dogs are welcome in this class!

Age: 8 months to seniors.

Vaccine: Proof of rabies vaccine and up-to-date DHLPP/DHPP.

Tuition: $280 for Reactive Dog Manners. Register HERE.

Length: 6 consecutive weeks unless otherwise noted - 50 minutes per lesson.

This class is held on leash for all 6 sessions.

Class Description: Reactive dogs can display a wide variety of behaviors when they are uncomfortable with their environment, people, dogs or a variety of other "triggers".

This class can help reduce your dog's reactions and build confidence, focus and better manners through a series of pattern games and voluntary behaviors.   With each new game you will create safe, predictable patterns so your dog can improve basic skills, then we can add in greater distractions, triggers and teach your dog to cope better with the dc environment and everything it throws at them!

We will also help teach you canine language, training skills, management, timing, and all about the variety of rewards that life can offer you and your pup that can be associated with boogiemen and triggers that bother your dog.

We are happy to work in conjunction with your vet or vet behaviorist for any reactive dog or any class or in home lesson.  A dog that is physically and mentally healthy is the best dog, and has the best chance at learning new skills.

Reactive 2.0 Dog - On the Road!

Reactive 2.0 - On the road! - Continuing on with reactive dog 1.0 protocols this class will run for four consecutive weeks.  It will be most helpful for dogs that are reactive to other dogs or people on leash but can also be used as a refresher course and building safe, predictable patterns for any dog that is anxious and reactive to various triggers.

This smaller class will focus on taking pattern games and voluntary behaviors form reactive 1.0 and raising the criteria while removing the barriers, including introducing parallel walking games, creating more relaxation on mat, follow the leader walks and a few tricks to see things new and interesting for everyone!
